househead
Any lone Doves fans fancy accompanying me to the Academy tonight? I'm new in town and quite fancy this. Tickets still available from box office for £18. PM me if interested. I'm not a sad bugger or anything, all my mates live in Manc so wouldn't come down for a midweek gig. I will most likely go on my own if nobody is up for it. Mark (27, Kelham Island)
goldenfleece
The history of the Doves goes way back to the dizzy heights of 'Madchester' Scene of the late 80's and early 90's......I wonder if we will see a revival of interest in the music scene from Manchester on the scale that it was before, when Inspiral Carpets, Happy Mondays,ET AL were at their peak..... househead
Indeed, they used to be Sub Sub, a dance group. Most of the Madchester music rates amongst my fave stuff. The new album by the Doves is in my opinion, their best yet.
