bobbikins Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Can anyone remember the Carlton Cinema on Eastern Ave S2 ? My father was one of the projectionists there back around 1957 onwards and he worked with a older chap who was only about five foot tall and was known as LITTLE BILLY We used to be given two free tickets a week to see the films, This was the only times that we got to go in the upstairs part of the cinema as the rest of the time we used to go in the pit. When It closed down it became the omega lamp works and we never saw inside again. It had now been pulled down and is what looks like pensioners housing.
