I am concerned that by issuing Bob with thoughts of flagellation you have over-stepped the mark? Personally, I loved it, but only wish there was more about Nicola. Her thoughts about zero Kelvin immediately showed me what sort of woman she is. Personally, I'd imagined Bob's soulmate to be a short, thin, squirrel-faced woman, so I think Nicola might be advised to lose some weight... and some height.
