Has anyone had dealings with CAFCASS?

Recommended Posts

CAFCASS are aware of parent alienation just like solicitors are but in the uk its ignored, and they play blind to the fact that parent alienation does happen and is very common.

There are some solicitors that specialise in parent alienation but they are rare and very hard to come across.

I myself am going through this and haven't seen my son for 3 years now.I have searched the internet for info on what I can do and so far the only advice is to keep a diary of events and continue to contact by letter or phone, which I do. I've had numerous solicitors but none of them listen when I talk about parent alienation, I will continue until I find a solution and see my son.I hope things work out for you too.

I've had no involvement with any situation like some of the posters on here, I just find it so sad that one parent can put the other through so much. Three years without seeing your child must have been awful, I really hope you get the outcome you want.

I often wonder what a child must think when they no longer see their father/mother, and also once the child grows up and realises that one parent alienated them from the other, especially when there has been no genuine reason to do so.

I had to go 6 weeks recently without seeing my boys, and that was heartbreaking enough! I can only begin to sympathise with what you're going through!

I've got a phone call from CAFCASS on 29th July, so we'll see what they have to say.
