Sheff2006
Does anyone know what the abandoned long brick building was on Woodbourn Hill? It is on your left hand side when on the tram towards Meadowhall, inbetween Nunnery Square and Woodbourn Road tram stops. How long has it been abandoned? What company was there last and when did they leave? I took the picture below through the metal gates. http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq357/syt2007/WoodbournHill.jpg Many thanks. It was a depot /repair /centre for some of their vehicles.
Sheff2006
Thanks for that, bracken. I got the road slightly wrong though. According to Google Streetview it is on Lumley Street/Ripon Street.

Sheff2006
Ah that figures then with it being a lengthy building, pipework/rolling mill. I can't remember seeing Spartan Steel although there is Special Steels just around the corner.
