I know that there were the gas Holders at Wincobank, as well as at Neepsend and Effingham Road, if that helps place things? I would suspect, as doubleg said, looking at the hill in the background, that it is probably near Neepsend, as the hill terrain looks more like the hill from Penistone Road up to Shirecliffe, than Wincobank or Effingham road. Perhaps it was the gasworks on Upwell street.
