This bank holiday Weekend there something quite special in the air at Shuffle. May is literally the end of spring, the point where the summer hits us full on, or more than likely pierces us with an anti-climatic wave of miserable weather. But ******** to that, there's one place where it's always sunny, and this Shuffle sees one man on board who defines that place like no other. The location is of course Ibiza, and that man is Jonathon Ulysses.

 

As resident of Playa d'en Bossa superclub Space, Ulysses has become a permanent fixture on the white isle. The epitome of Balearica, Jonathon's skill at switching from sun drenched house grooves to the gilt edged techno stompers has made him perfectly adept at surmising the hedonistic allure Ibiza continues to retain. Its the marriage of dark and light at the heart of the islands euphoric appeal that drives his sets, gifting him the role of ambassador for the island which sees him taking its mandate across the globe. Will Sheffield ever be so metaphorically touched by the sun again?

 

Support as ever comes from LJ Freeman and Ollie Hayes doing their thang alongside the Hallam Floorfillers. The Hallam bods bring an eclectic mix of upfront chart anthems alongside a sizzling ensemble of accessible dancefloor bombs from the past, raiding the crates of Hip-Hop, RnB, Dance and Indie in the process.
