Memories Of Walkley

It is a thread about the history of Walkley, so I'd imagine everyone reading this thread (bar you) cares.

Exactly. History of Walkley  & not   'Disused toilets of Sheffield and its surrounding areas'.

Start a   'New topic'   on  'Disused Toilets'  see how much interest you get.

Keep 🎣 🤡

This thread works fine for the discussion, but thanks for the suggestion. 🤡

How's that then 🤡

Out of 47 pages and 561 post's where people have reminisced over family & friends, roads, shops &  characters long gone NO ONE has mentioned 'Public Toilets' as being one of their 'Memories of Walkley' .

There is one mention of the 'out-side' toilet, the type every yard had, but that was back in 2013.

Obviously from your previous post's you have found a niche market in your interest of 'Abandoned Cottages' in and around Sheffield.

Perhaps you could broaden your horizon.

Go on - 'Away you Go'.

Hi, my dad (Derek castle ) is from  walkley originally,  born on palm st ( old houses long gone ) bang opposite the palm pub as it was know then. My late nanan & grandad ( Jim & Jessie castle ) after palm st moved to the newly built bungalows at number 20 walkley street. My grandad passed away in 1987 and nanan in 1999 . Anyone remember any of them? Thanks in advance..craig

I was born at 128 industry street, my late parents lived there all their married lives their name was Nettleship.I went to Burgoyne road school.

Hi , Stu ?

I knew your Mum and Dad very well , i lived on Cundy street and often went to see them.

i moved away but when in Sheffield id call round and see them even when they moved round to Daniel hill .

They were a lovely and dear couple who i have very fond memories of.
