I Worked there 1978-79 worked on second floor with metal presses and

welding section also worked in plating section for a while

Ken was my boss on that floor

Always remember the smell from above soluble oil from lathes

also had a good canteen there

a few names are

fred the buffer

tom in plating shop

phil on welding

june on spray paint

allan also on second floor

 

my name was allan used to drive a black mini with yellow roof

I was a welder at that time i worked with phil, alan, terry, keith, fred,ken sperry was boss. My name is DAVE i sometimes worked on paintspraying as well

I worked at Ernest Hills in the office from 1969 untill 1977. I maried Ian Davenport and we had out first child in 1977. Still together after all these years even though they said it wouldnt last. Lots of happy memories from Hills and lots of laughs as well.
