Pub on Crookes Valley Park! The Dam House

Recommended Posts

Ok.I went on Tuesday.

Food very palatable and well presented. I had goats cheese and tomato tart for starters but between the seven of us we had pratically every starter and they all looked nice and no complaints. The asparagus was received very well.

Main i had the pasta and my other veggie mate had the risotto. The meat dishes went down better so i think a little bit more inventiveness with the veg choices needs to be in order - the salmon was gorgeous apparently.

Dessert, i had some chesnut thingy (not actual name!) but wished I'd had the fruit sushi (always the same with desserts). With 2 bottles of wine, a couple of soft drinks and coffees, it came to £31 a head which wasn't bad at all.

My only complaint is the lighting - it is reminiscent of eating at Brewer's fayre as it is sooo bright.

But is somewhere to add to the decent places to eat list.
