Pony express
Hi everyone, doing some work in garden and want to lay some "fake grass" for my grandchildren to play on. Haven't a lot of cash so can any one recommend where to go for best price please. Thanks

Works out at over 65 quid a square meter, needless to say we will look elsewhere.

Jomie
There are many different qualities of artificial grass so your quotes are actually meaningless unless they are like for like. You need to decide on the type, quality and how much you want to spend per square metre. It is exactly like buying carpet. Also, preparation and ground work is key to a good finish so before accepting a quote make sure that this will be done correctly. Remember that the product will last for years, will always look good and will be almost maintenance free so in the end it will be value for money.
