MR BENN
the best chippie used to be Chippie Geoffs in Penistone -everything cooked in proper lard -not that healthy veg oil they use now ,and the chips were lovely and brown Edited June 9, 2009 by MR BENN

Clare_11
Definetely Two Steps on Sharrowvale Road, oldest fish shop in town!
opalfruit
Ocean Blue in Chap is good - the best in S35. The one on Station Road, Chap is ok, but portions are a bit small. Marigolds in Ecclesfield is ok, but they take *ages* to cook stuff and are only open really bizarre odd hours. The one at the crossroads at Ecclesfield is good too - on Mill Road. The one opposite the main shops in Ecclesfield isn't as bad as it looks - it looks really dingy and scruffy, but the chips aren't all that bad. The one on the circle in High Green is awful - as is the one on Greengate Lane. Yes, I eat too much fish and chips
SENSIBLE-BUS
Definetely Two Steps on Sharrowvale Road, oldest fish shop in town! I second that one, anything less just is not good enough.
foxforcefive
The one at the top of Herries Road, near Tesco is ace, the portions are manageable as well, not the massive gluttonous sized portions you get in most chippies these days.
