blip
No....Please, not again...arrrgh Yes! Again again. This is fun! I like the way the '9/11 Scholars for Truth' maintain that "World Trade Centre 7 - a neighbouring building which caught fire and collapsed later in the day - was only partially damaged but had to be destroyed because it housed a clandestine CIA station." Somehow, despite them involving the CIA in the theory, I'm not convinced. There is a sensible quote in there though, from Christopher Pyle, professor of constitutional law at Mt Holyoake College in Massachusetts, who rightly says that: "After every major crisis, like the assassinations of JFK or Martin Luther King, we've had conspiracy theorists who come up with plausible scenarios for gullible people. It's a waste of time." Too true.

El-Mariachi
But leading scientists say the facts of their investigations cannot be ignored and say they have evidence that points to one of the biggest conspiracies ever perpetrated. Professor Steven Jones, who lectures in physics at the Brigham Young University in Utah, says the official version of events is the biggest and most evil cover up in history. He has joined the 9/11 Scholars for Truth whose membership includes up to 75 leading scientists and experts from universities across the US. Prof Jones said: "We don't believe that 19 hijackers and a few others in a cave in Afghanistan pulled this off acting alone. "We challenge this official conspiracy theory and, by God, we're going to get to the bottom of this." Go get them Prof Jones
AtticusFinch
I've eventually come to the conclusion that 9/11 is a case of LIHOP (Let It Happen On Purpose) rather than MIHOP (Made It Happen On Purpose). In other words, the neo-cons didn't arrange the attacks themselves, but they were aware of the Al-Qaeda plot and did nothing to stop it. They needed 9/11 in order to invade Iraq and introduce the Patriot Act.
Phanerothyme
Go get them Prof Jones Professor in the USA is not the same as professor here. A professor in the USA can be of the same calibre as a junior lecturer in this country, it's an honorific, not a position. also - Brigham Young University? The mission of Brigham Young University is "to assist individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life" Obviously an institution steeped in academic rigor, huh? Tony
Ah yes... Brigham Young. Mr Young was a founder of the Mormon church and apparently has 56 wives. If you'd like to know more about the kind of physics that Brigham Young University teaches then have a look at this web page which also proposes a "Mormon Conspiracy To Rule America". Brigham Young University Indoctrination Students who attend Brigham Young University must follow a strict honor code that includes a dress code, forbidding sex outside of marriage, clean shaven for men, multiple earrings not allowed, maintaining a clean and neat appearance, prohibiting use of alcoholic beverages and no visiting of dorm rooms of the opposite sex. So, which conspiracy do you want to believe?
