kateo
INYERFACE THEATRE COMPANY and SHEFFIELD MUSIC ACADEMY Present SUMMERPHONIC on Friday 19 June and SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE & LOUD on Saturday June 20th. On Friday evening our talented young singers, musicians and dancers present a relaxed evening of classical favourites & contemporary surprises from Fauré to Lloyd Webber and Emerson Lake & Palmer. The evening ends with the premiere of Flood, a new reflection on the great Sheffield flood of 1864, written in collaboration with Sheffield poet Rob Hindle and performed by students from Sheffield Music Academy & Hallam Dance. Spookily this production nearly didn’t happen after the recent flooding at Sheffield Central Library!!!! However thanks to the Library Theatre staff we go ahead as planned! As a complete contrast on Saturday night the same company present a great selection of upbeat songs from the charts, rock ballads and jazz standards including Anastacia, Guns and Roses, Kaiser Chiefs and Snow Patrol and numbers from west end shows. Come along and support these exceptionally talented local performers. Library Theatre 715. Tickets available for each night. £5 & £3 concessions. O114 249 6000 or on the door.
