Eaton and booth rolling mill

Dear ?

Sorry, I did not work at Eaton and Booth, but my Great Grandfather, William Swift was a founder of Swift Brothers Rolling mills which was bought out by J H Trickett who owned Eaton and Booth in the late 1920s The Rolling Mill side of the firm continued to operate as Swift Bros until about 1970 when it all came under the Eaton and Booth name.I have quite a lot of documents relating to the firm and shortly before the firm closed I was in touch with Tony Brooks who's father managed the company for many years. At that time he was writing a short history of Swift Brothers/Eaton and Booth as a Univercity project and he used a number of items I loaned him.He presented me with a signed copy of the book. It is fairly short and if you would like a photocopy I could do you one with pleasure

Best wishes,

John.
