sufc_tom
Hello all, I am looking to find out as much information regarding my biological grandfather as possible. Apparently he was very popular around the Wincobank/Roman Ridge/Shiregreen area. His name was Jimmy Dixon. I understand he died of diabetes and suffered from loss of eyesight before dying aged around 53. He used to drink in the Roman Ridge pub. Any information or opinions, either positive or negative, would be greatly appreciated.

ricgem2002
i vaguely remember jimmy but was only a lad then but from what i remember of him he was a well liked bloke and a bit of a hard man when he was younger, at the time of his death i beleive he was living with a laura flint on either clematis/daffodil road she still lives on the estate in the flats which are at the side of the now knocked down roman ridge hope this helps
