anarchist
Last night I went to a live music session at The Blue Stoops pub in Dronfield. It is a pretty new venture called "In the Spotlight", and entry was free. Several local musicians played and it was quite a jolly night. Sadly only one real ale was on the bar, but the Bombardier was not bad. We got there at 9.30 and it was in full swing and carried on until 11. It is apparently a regular Tuesday night slot. We enjoyed it and think live music deserves support. I will certainly go again. I would also be happy to chuck a couple of quid in a hat, but no one came round with one. foxy lady
There was a good craic there last night. Dale Storr was topping the bill accompanied by Chris Firminger and a chap on trumpet (sorry can't remember name). Like you say it was free entry and a great atmosphere. It would have been better with a little more support. They are trying hard and deserve to suceeed.
