Julian P
Hello - I'm from down south but Mr Staniforth's daughter is one of my customers (I too am a clock repairer). Just thought I'd "make contact": I have given her details of your forum and she may well reply in person. Take care everyone...

kemor
Hi, I am Kevin Morley, only just found this forum and I love it!! I worked at H.M. Halls for many years, started when I left school. People that worked there were Malcolm Hall (Mac), who owned the shop. Muriel & Tom Collier, and Nelly Sleath?? Spent many happy hours repairing TV's, washing machines and vacuum cleaners. I also remember emptying the cash from the slot machines on the back of TV's. My mum and dad, Gladys and Clifford Morley, brother Peter, we lived at 115 Queens Rd next to Matthews shop. Mum worked at shop corner of Manvers Road and Oak Road, Race's?? I miss fish n chips from the fish shop on Oak Road, Johnny's??, I think run by the Hill's Best wishes to everyone Kevin
