SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST 2009 DOORS OPEN 7:30PM £4 advance entry DIRTY JEANS plus support from FEARLESS LINDA and HAIL TO THE ESKIMO Formed in Barnsley in early 2008, Dirty Jeans have been creating strong punchy Indie influenced songs ever . In a short period of time, they have come a long way. They released their EP entitled ‘Carpe Diem’ in 2009 with the hits ‘To Go’, ‘Picture, Dance’, ‘She’s got’ and ‘Time.’ An innovative blend of female vocals and dominant piano flurries create a powerful, uplifting sound that will surely fling them into the spot light very soon. Support comes from Fearless Linda who were fused together by a love of Funk, Pop and straight up Rock music. Fearless Linda wrote some songs, learned songs by other folks and played many shows around South Yorkshire. After a re-shuffle in the line-up in mid-2008, the revitalized band ploughed on in the local music scene. In 2009, they played a long stretch of shows to celebrate the release of their new 5 track EP. Later in the year, a second EP will be released and also some accompanying dates and live appearances in the south of the country. Expect some new sounds in later half of the year.
