Masquerade
there are too many to mention, but there are some good ones in soho/chinatown. or if you've got money try nobu (met hotel)!
millhouses24
I lost my sushi virginity at Satsuma ( http://www.london-eating.co.uk/163.htm ) although it was so long ago I can't say how good it was! If you are after good Asian food, can I just say these places (http://www.pingpongdimsum.com/) are London gems and well, well, worth a visit! brianthedog
Surely it'd have to be Nobu or Ubon. Be warned though - they're not cheap! I always use London Eating when I'm trying to find decent restaurants - worth a look.

brianthedog
I wouldnt go to Nobu for authentic Japanese. But its still delicious, a mix of South American and Japanese i think Got to admit, it's a fair few years since I went, but I don't recall seeing anything particularly South American about it (unless it's changed of course!). It's definitely more on the modern end of Japanese food, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. The one thing that did bug me (as I'm a complete pedant) was the Americanized (sic) spelling and naming on the menu - arghhhhhhhh!
chinaski
In was in Soho last weekend and visited Yauatcha. It's a sister restaurant of Hakkasan. It's got a great basement area, the food is stunning and it's very fashionable - if you're into that sort of thing.. Easy to get too aswell. Mind you, the website is completely unfathomable. http://www.yauatcha.com/
