willybite Posted August 4, 2009 Share Posted August 4, 2009 hiya i was born at the city general in march 1938 i have thought how lucky i am to have been born in sheffield at all, was it fate, i think it was, on my maternal side my mum was born in nottingham as was her mother, and her parents also.my mums father was born in larbert in scotland ,on my paternal side my dad was born in doncaster,his dad was born in boston lincs as was his father, and this branch of my family came from cambridgeshire,dads mum was born a traveller her parents were said to be gypsy's so they could have been born anywhere.
