Cargo Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009 For the final (Bank Holiday) terrace party of the year, we have drafted in the supreme skills of a crew that we have been trying to get over to Sheffield for a long time. After lots of talking and juggling busy DJ schedules, we have finally confirmed the we will be bringing Manchesters' TOUCAN RAVE artists to Sheffield for the August Bank Holiday. The Toucans have been on our radar for the past year or more thanks to their tireless gigging (individually and as Toucan Rave) at the likes of Disco Electronica @ Sankeys, Lost Souls Techno Club @ Public Life, Mixmag Party @ The Egg and Pacha London..... oh and not to mention their own events at The Attic in Manchester. Get ready for possibly the most exciting guests to grace the terrace this season. Expect Toucan Rave's cool brand of "Deep Dark Grooving House & Techno" and a few extra little Toucan themed surprises too! Of course the mango* residents will be on hand, setting their stall out for an amazing day (and night) of music... As usual, entertainment in the bar area will be provided by team B.I.O. in the form of solid jacking and deep house grooves. CARGO: Hi Subb-an, all the Cargo team wish you well and look forward to having you in Sheffield this weekend. What gigs have really rocked it for you in 2009 and why? SUBB-AN:I have played some great gigs this year with 'T POT' at Krobar being a great intimate party, 'Just Jack' in Bristol and of course all of the Below's. C: What tune have you carried around EVERYWHERE this year? S: An edit I have done of a Roland Appel record. C: There are some great artists coming out of the Immigrant stable at the moment, who excites you the most in terms of productions and performance?
