Dove and Rainbow Rock Weekends

Greetings all! We have decided to reformat our ROCK N LOAD WEEKEND nights somewhat, so rather than both Friday and Saturday being a mixed bag of rock, the format is changed as follows:

 

FRIDAY:

Modern Rock/metal/Punk/Alternative....think the latest Rock chart hits from the USA, including the latest released from artists like Cavo, Godsmack, Shinedown, Halestorm, Sick Puppies, Cage the Elephant, 5 Finger Death Punch, Mudvayne, Disturbed, Slipknot, Papa Roach, Green Day, All that Remains, Buckcherry, killswitch Engage, Hinder, Rise Against, Paramore, to name but a few, all drawn from the latest Rock Chart, blended with rock/punk/metal hits from the last 10-15years, so keeping things relatively contemporary. You won't hear anything older than around 1994 or so on Fridays any more.......

 

SATURDAYS: We dedicate Saturday nights at the Dove from 7pm to all out CLASSIC ROCK AND METAL,!!!!Think Zeppelin to Floyd, hendrix to deep Purple, Whitesnake to Alice Cooper, Motley Crue to LA Guns, Poison to Thunder, Leppard to Megadeth, Metallica to Pantera, Rolling Stones to Guns and Roses, ZZ Topp to Kiss, Little Angels to Skid Row ET AL...

 

So all the classic rock and metal you could ever want each and every Saturday from 7pm, whilst on Fridays we modernize our format a lot to keep things fresh and vibrant.....this is a strict music policy to avoid too much swing between classic and modern rock, so we can focus dynamically on giving you the BEST of both styles on separate days....

 

Don't forget if you like it HEAVY and SOLID METAL our FORGED Night with metal DJ's returns from September, in time for the students returning to Sheffield too. PLUS, new DJ night featuring ONLY Power metal will be kicking off next month too, so check the web site and calendar for details.......

 

LIVE BANDS ARE BACK TOO!!!! We will be bringing you the best of the local bands, plus the odd touring band too, so plenty of live music to get your teeth into!!!
