Wedding place name cards and favours

Recommended Posts

This is what we had & everybody kept them: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c12/KATIEB_23/_367.jpg

I think I got a box of 100 stands off an ebay shop for £40

I printed photos of each person myself to match the table plan I made: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c12/KATIEB_23/_364.jpg

Favours: well I am decsended from Russians so we thought a mini bottle of Vodka would be apt! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=261325&id=751185709&op=6#/photo.php?pid=7057959&id=751185709

The last wedding I went to, they had champagne corks with a slit cut into them & the name card slotted in - that looked very nice.

If you want loads of fantastic ides have a look at this thread on 'you and your wedding' forum: http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/chatroom/topic/214447

That girl (Charlotte) had so many amazing ideas, her wedding is going to be featured in Cosmo Bride next month!

She had CD's made with their favourite tunes on as favors that doubled up as place cards because the front of the CD sleeve had the person's name on.

For a friends wedding I made up mini cakes to look like caddles. I stacked up several small circlular cakes iced them white and each one had a sugar flower attached to match her flowers (daisys).

She used them as favours but it wouldnt be too difficult to add place names written in icing rather than the flower. Pm if your interested.

Thorntons do chocolate tags like the type you have on xmas presents etc. However they write names on in white icing for free. So you can have place name cards and favours in one. You cna adorn them with co-ordinating ribbon to match ya theme as well.

They only cost £1.00 each what a bargain and lovely chocolate too, yum yum.

My daughter has been making these for xmas presents

They would make good table centrepieces and people could eat them with their coffees

She also makes cupcakes. Like someone else suggested, you could have them as placenames and gift wrapped they could double up as favours. Or perhaps a mini iced fruit cake as its xmas?

I agree with Thorntons, they do also do different wedding favours in box's or you could have you and your partner's initials has chocolates. My friend had the initials chocolate at her wedding. Can look on the site to see what other favours they do.

I could make you some!

I'm just in the process of making some to be sold on a few websites.

This is the only design I have made so far but the style of the tag, ribbon colour and button detail can all be changed to suit your theme.

I'm also having the ones in the picture at my wedding in June.

If you're interested PM me and I'd be more than happy to help.

The only downside is that I can't do calligraphy to put the names on the cards in a fancy way BUT I'm in the process of finding somebody who can or finding a nice way of doing it.

I have heard of a new company who produce fantastic unique things for weddings and anniversaries. i think you send them a small sample of something which means alot to you (confetti or petals or something you saved from the service or suchlike) and they somehow make it into paper and print a picture on it, so you could chose a pic of his favourite car or whatever if its an anniversary gift? Sorry I dont know what the company is called....maybe somebody else has heard of it?
