Why do old people wear beige clothes?

Yes I've noticed every generation of old person has warn similar clothing. Even if as teenagers they were the inovating generation of fashion?

 

Does a brown parcel containing the clothing come in the post from the government when you claim the state pension?

 

No, we have to queue at the Post office before it opens to get these!

 

Actually, I'm wearing red at the mo - I do have some beige but its for special occasions like going to the lunch club or bingo.

Where are all these beige-clad oaps? Not in my circle, that's for sure.

I have tops in pink, turquoise, blue, green, red. I have bought 4 coats this year, in pale blue, pale green, pink and off-white.

I don't have a single beige article in my wardrobe.

Older people like beige I think because they remember the 'old times' , buy something that goes with everything, I'm old but my favorite colours are white, goes with everything too
