I'd have never wagged school if the girls uniforms were like that!!

I wear clothes like that....(but blacker).....although these days it's no longer compulsory!

Thats exactly what they dont want them to look like, if some of the schools had anything to do with it all kids would be dressed in burkas and ties (only the correct shade of black burka tho).

A typical example of what would / could happen if standards are allowed to slip; although the pic is taking it to the extreme it just highlights the “give them an inch” and “thin end of the wedge” way of thinking to applying rules on uniform.

 

Nearly 60% in favour for a uniform for all kids and 12% that are in favour of it just for high schools, over 70% vote for uniforms.

 

Before anyone states the obvious I know only 42 people have voted but we must assume the rest aren’t bothered one way or the other.

Call it a code , call it a uniform, it’s the same thing.

 

No it's not. King Edward's has this policy, yet no one who attends looks like a clone/drone. Their individuality/freedom of expression is not impeaded.

 

BTW. KT's has is one of the best schools in Sheffield.
