Plain Talker
She lived with Miss Rutherford........ (A little off topic, but...) Looking back, I often wonder about a teacher from my days in the infants school where I went. She always seemed to be trés butch. As Robin Williams would have said, (In "Good Morning Vietnam) "Did she wear 'sensible shoes'?" She was a lovely, if strict teacher, she was always happy to encourage the kids in her charge to learn, and discover! I remember well the time she helped the curious and inquisitive me to work out (at the age of 6!!) how tall a horse of "X" hands-height would be!
