Anyone from maltby street school?

My mom went to Maltby Street School and lived on Brompton Road. She was born 1934 and called Joan. She lived at 41 Brompton Road with siblings Bill, Ted, Ernest, Mildred and Maurice. 41 was in the corner yard between Brompton Road and Clay Street.

I would love to hear from someone who was in the same class as me such as joan grayson maureen rogers josie williams maureen whitaker pat hague dora gelsthorp joan williamson margaret potter terry oliver frank newman jonnie pearson roy townsend I know were a bit long int Tooth but there must be some of us left oh iforgot mildred taylor she was afriend of my brother

YEs I knew Barry roberts his dad also came round with the greenun on saturday Nights Les rodgers and Irene rodgers lived in same yard as barry

 

Yes I used to go & play with Irene Rodgers, good excuse to see if I could see Barry,

cos I was so sweet on him

Wonder what happend to them all, my name was Margaret Baker,in those day,s Im 71 years old now:huh::huh::huh:

All these names spring to mind Kathleen Nuttal, she went to live in "Australia"

years ago, Margaret Race, I was scarred of her, thy kep,t the tripe shop,on

Attercliffe common opposite the globe picture house.

YES i used to love domestic science I recognise afew names you mention but they were about a year or two younger than me did you have a brother?

 

Yes his Name was John Baker, but he,s 18 months younger than me .

He will be 70 in december.

Do you remeber the air raid shelter in the school yard & the water tank.

We used to skip do hand stands & play marbles.

You may have been in Lilley Wentworth,s class she was older than me,Pat

Williamson married Harry Moeises, there was a Jean Cross she lived on clay

street, & you must remember Audrey Tomlinson, she became Ricky Lee, she

all way,s had a good voice, I remember her passing for the Sheffield school

choir.:banana::banana:

Audrey had a sister called June....she was also in the Sheffield Scools Choir and went at the same time as me.:)
