lynblu
Yes his Name was John Baker, but he,s 18 months younger than me . He will be 70 in december. Do you remeber the air raid shelter in the school yard & the water tank. We used to skip do hand stands & play marbles. You may have been in Lilley Wentworth,s class she was older than me,Pat Williamson married Harry Moeises, there was a Jean Cross she lived on clay street, & you must remember Audrey Tomlinson, she became Ricky Lee, she all way,s had a good voice, I remember her passing for the Sheffield school choir. I remember Lily Wentworth, she married Dennis Jenkinson. Had two boys Martin & for life of me can't remember the other lads name, they used to be mates with my two brothers Steve & Dean (Towers). Lily & Dennis lived on Clay Street. Audrey Tomlinson was my dads first 'girlfriend' My mum n dad stayed in touch with them till they sadly passed away. I remember going to see them loads of times at various performances they did up & down the country & seeing them backstage. Remember going to visit them at their home in Cawthorne. My mum still has an LP of Audreys & her version of My Yiddishe Mamma still brings tears to my eyes. I'm still in contact with her brother Tom via e-mail due to the reunions I've organised in the past. The memories come flooding back ...............
