How long was it before you met partner's family?

My bf lives miles away so I met his parents and he met mine quickly because we both still live at home and it's a long way to drive there and back in one day

I had alot of sympathy for your situation. But Hiring a private investigator? Totally stupid idea. You need to draw a line under this and walk away now. How much more of your life are you planning on wasting?

the latest is that i fell out with him again on wednesday, and thursday drove to his house with a load of things and spoke to both his lovely parents. they said they didnt know much about me as he never said owt about me, and they had no idea about miscarriages, and that his mum did want to meet me, but as hes so private he didnt want to know, so its all own to him hes such a strange person.

If he's dumped you for meeting his parents then I'm afraid that this was going to be the outcome no matter what you did (unless if you did things entirely his way of course!).

 

I'm sorry to hear about this, but I think that his actions as far as this goes tell you about what sort of relationship he is prepared to have and it obviously isn't the sort that will make you happy.

Any relationship where the the words 'private investigator' even cross your mind is already dead and buried, I think.
