kscott2
I know there have been numerous threads on this topic, but most seem to be out of date now... Please can someone point me in the right direction for a traditional sunday lunch in sheffield city centre (not the Toby Carvery up eccy road, or the peak district!). It needs to be a short walk / roll from the train station.... So sheffield city centre please, last time I went for one it was in the Hallamshire and now its a friggin Pizza place Many Thanks
HJL_Shef
Went for one at the Dev Cat that was pretty reasonable - nice sirloin of beef, mashed carrot and swede, veg, roast potatoes and a yorkshire pud that looked homemade as opposed to aunt bessie's. £8.50 if I remember correctly. Plus the beer's pretty good in there too
Sharp87
i don't think you'll find a lot better than the toby carvery but try the old house.
neeeeeeeeeek
Milestone is good but quite expensive. Went to the Dam House on Sunday which was average and quite expensive. The Stag on Psalter lane is good value but slightly out of town. It's a shame but getting a good Sunday lunch in town is near impossible!
Fantomas
The Sunday lunch in Bungalows and Bears on Division St isn't bad - £8 or 2 for £12.

Old house is OK, Bungallows was awful last time I ate there on as Sunday but it was a while ago.
goldenfleece
We are 1 mile out of town at the York but do a totally awesome Sunday Roast for far less than any prices quoted in this thread....
oily
Yep - the Old House and Bungalows are good. Have eaten on a Sunday at both of them recently. The Forum's not too bad either.
