goldenfleece
Wow, I never thought this would open again...Another local to be saved, which is all good news for Walkley area......Perhaps we will see a turn around in the pub trade and the rate of closures slowing down instead of speeding up....I hope so..... Additional: The Springvale was my true local when I lived in Walkley from 1987-95, very fond memories indeed.....I wish you success in making this pub great again....and if you can find the 2 barmaids who used to pull the most perfect pints EVER who worked there in 1988/9, I will be there every night! M_Woodward
any ales?? The first week we are starting off with Ruddles and Green King IPA. As you can imagine things are a bit hectic for the opening and a lot of work is happening at the moment. The Ales selection will grow over the next few weeks. Any favourites you want to recommend? Claire .

Lincoln Hawk
I'll look forward to coming back in again, definitely. And to the blackboards outside being cleared, they've been advertising an old band of mine playing there for about a year now...

The Hadfield was certainly a fun place to be when you were there and I did that somewhat cult status Thursday music quiz......days remembered very fondly, and if u want a music quiz, let me know, its AGES since I have done one.....in fact, why have I not set one up at the York yet:loopy: Too much paperwork and admin most of the time:rant:
