The Tv went suddenly from some banal fictional discusion about castrating bulls to a somber looking Sir Trevor McDonald: "This is an ITN newsflash. Reports are comming in that Chaz and Dave have split up and ended their 30 year musical partnership.............." There followeed over 60 hours of non stop Tv coverage.
