I’m not shouting about anything. The OP was calling Cameron a novice, I only pointed out the fault in what was said. If only people with experience of being a PM can become one, that means dictatorship. If the OP meant a novice in other areas of employment then Gordon Brown has less experience than any of his rivals. It’s quite simple.

 

Let's not forget how Thames lost their licence (and Carlton got theirs - "Death on the Rock" and Thatcher's anger - then refusal of Thames' licence and the subsequent granting of the Carlton licence - then a job for "Thatcher's pet").

You implied that Cameron would be the best man for the job of PM because he had worked for Carlton TV as a SPIN doctor, and that GB was unsuitable as he has never held a position outside of politics. Vince Cable would be a better chancellor than either of the other party's candidates as he has had (many) years experience in the economic sector.

 

I have implied nothing. You seem to be reading what you want to see, not what I wrote. I only compared brown with Cameron as they are the ONLY two who will be the PM after the next election, that’s a fact.

This is one of the stupidest posts i have seen on SF. Are you really arguing that a high quality education is a bad thing. Do you actually think that if he had received a poor education he would be better prepared to run the country. Is it the school he went to that in your opinion makes him a slimeball or is it because he came from a well-off background. What makes you think he does not want the country and people in it to be successful? Conservative policy is intended to give everyone a chance to be more wealthy if they work for it. The principles are to allow everyone to keep more of what they earn and to spend it how the individual sees fit and not how Gordon the Goldfish wants to distribute it to his scottish mates and friends in the trade onions.

Well, I hope you re-elect Labour. They deserve to be re-elected.

 

After all, the last time they were in power they screwed up the economy (and the people) royally, then bailed out.

 

Along came Thatcher, who made life very hard for a lot of people while trying to get the country out of the hole which 'Pound in Your Pocket' Harold and 'Sunny Jim' had dropped it into.

 

She was blamed - and I can certainly understand why.

 

It's time for change!

 

Perhaps the people will say: "You got us into this mess Gordon - Now get us out."

I would expect atleast another million people to lose their job's if the Tories win, many from the public services ie school teachers, teaching assistants,doctors, nurse, coppers, plus all the civil servants and council workers etc and the others from the knock-on effect their policies would have on the overall economy.

With the Tories consistently above Labour in the opinion polls, given what has happened previously to employment levels when the economy was in recession, and there was a change of government and with the Tories promising huge public spending cuts.Just how high will unemployment rise?

 

After what i saw at Hillsborough yesterday Wednesday1 I will not shed one tear if Public Service jobs are cut under the Tories. The way the riot police parted like the waves to allow Palace fans on the pitch whilst on about £30 an hour is a disgrace! I could have done a better job of containing them myself!

 

These coppers obviously need motivating & are too comfy in their gold-plated-pensioned jobs! Disgrace!

 

It's not about the numbers it's a about the right number doing the job correctly. This just highlighted to me what Cameron is on about with the regard to eliminate 'waste'. If they can't be motivated to do the job on overtime at double time & final salary pension...then encourage them to get a job they can be motivated in.....elsewhere!!!

The main difference is that most Tory MPs were born to govern. They've had the right breeding and upbringing, have gone to decent schools and will have mixed with important people in industry and the financial sector throughout their lives.

He hasn't skirted around it at all, in fact they have been very clear.

Stop tax credits to families with incomes over £50,000;

 

Is she earning over £50k? If not she has nothing to fear. If she is earning over £50k is she might find sympathy hard to come by from many people.
