The Wagon's Wheels @ The Grapes on Wednesday September 30th once again features another fine trio of live acts and the finest Americana, Alt-Country & Roots records between bands. This month the guests are The Troubadors, Dave Sleney and Tom Campbell. Doors open at 8pm and entry will be £3.

***THE TROUBADORS***

West Yorkshire's The Troubadors formed in 2003, originally as an acoustic duo, through a mutual love of "proper songs with a feeling and heart". Their music is rooted in honest reflections on the world as they see it. Steve Smith and Andy Healey are both vastly experienced musicians having played in a wide range of bands between them over the years and are both capable of turning their hands to an array of instruments. Heavily influenced by the likes of Steve Earle and Neil Young their crowd pleasing brand of country rock should again prove popular. Ealier this year they released their debut full length album 'Stolen Time'.

***DAVE SLENEY***

Singer/songwriter Dave Sleney makes his return to the live stage having recently spent some time in the studio recording. As well as the country tinged indie pop sounds of his former band, Dave is renowned for heartfelt material in the downbeat singer/songwriter tradition. Also known for not being afraid to chuck in the odd classic cover. The fruits of his recent recording session can be heard at:

***TOM CAMPBELL***

Opening the show will be Derby's Tom Campbell. Often accompanied by The Cold Light Of Day's Jim Widdop on pedal steel, he was last in Sheffield when he played at The Weight at The Shakespeare as part of the Tramlines festival. A singer/songwriter with infectious Americana influenced tunes.
