WOW! What a big night for us...

1. It's our 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of TE @ The Harley!

2. It's the RECORD RELEASE PARTY for the 'Made You Shack Up' 7" on our all new 'Bolar Pear' label. It's out Monday 28th September and promises to be our biggest release yet! It's got support from the likes of Rob Luis, Mr Benn, and Boca 45, as well as airtime on Solid Steel Radio, Tru Thoughts Radio, etc,... http://www.myspace.com/bolarpear for more info on this release.

3. It's THE RETURN OF BOCA 45 (one of the best DJs ever to play TE - those who witnessed him back in October 2008 will testify!)

4. Because of all these factors we've decided to go all out and make this a FANCY DRESS PARTY! Please make the effort, as there will be some PRIZES for the BEST DRESSED!

THIS ISH BANGS!

For those that don't know just how dope Boca is, here's the biog... Boca has made a name for himself releasing 12"s on Hombre, Illicit, Superslick Stereo Sounds and High Noon Records, as well as recording with Andy Smith (Portishead DJ) as Dynamo Productions. He has remixed Thunderball (aka Fort Knox Five), Chevy and The Bodybeard Brothers and toured extensively in Japan, Australia, Canada, USA, Russia, UK and the Philippines, averaging 150 gigs a year.

Boca's second LP 'Vertigo Sounds' is stuffed with full-flavoured soul and funk, deftly coupled with crunchy, hip hop beats and b-boy breaks. musically ambitious and indulgent with real instrumentation, Bass from Jim Barr (Portishead) and Strings from Ben Salisbury (David Attenborough's 'Life Of Mammals'!) are seamlessly woven together by Boca's signature cut and paste style with each track containing elements of 60’s and 70‘s rock, soundtracks and soul.

Boca's debut LP 'Pitch Sounds' (released on Grand Central in 2004) received support from Steve Lamacq & XFM. ‘In The City’ featuring McKay was nominated for 'Tune Of The Year' on Gilles Peterson's prestigeous Worldwide Awards, and was critically acclaimed, with Straight No Chaser describing it as "Expansion to the realms of Bossa and Cinematics" and Arena comparing it to "Massive Attack on a good day - produced by David Holmes!"
