To all the good, good people of Sheffield…. Or at the least the rock n roll n indie n soul n blues crowd among you.

 

I thought I’d just let you know that Sheffield’s finest new band, Kowalski, are playing at The Grapes on Sat 3rd October supported by Gold Soul.

 

Kowalski sound like a glorious car crash (The kind JG Ballard would enjoy) involving The Smiths, The Jam, leather jackets, Chelsea boots and the good lord Jarvis Cocker (same initials, same dishes etc)… all in all, a good pile up and a damn good way to spend your Saturday night.

 

Tickets are only £3 so you’ll have plenty of cash left over for Brighton Beach afterwards; besides, if you flatter guitarist Dan on his choice of suit whilst dancing on the beaches later on he’ll probably buy you an expensive drink anyway!
