History has passed places like that by for technological, political or ironically, market reasons hiya taking history and modern day living to mind i have just read your post, a few years ogo i went in a bookshop on division st in between cambridge and carver streets i mensioned to the assistant that i remember the shop in the 40s it was called applebaums at that time, and she wasn't interested at all i suppose its the modern life and we have to get on with it. my mum would buy me annuals eg funnies album, radio fun, film fun,beano, dandy.
