Hi Ladies

I am new to Sheffield too and I am doing mobile Spa and Beauty parties, there are over 25 treatments to choose from and the person who gets teh people together receives free treatments. IT is only £20 a person and that is for 2 treatments.

IT is great fun and hot stone back massage would be great after a keep fit session.

Let me know....its only an idea!

Hello - we are doing a class on Mondays at the moment called First Steps. It's a fun session for those new to fitness and includes all age groups and levels of fitness, we do a variety of activities like badminton, circuits, gentle (!?) boxing exercises and sessions on nutritional advice etc. Its held in our sportshall in the city centre (next to the bus station), your first session is free and £3.50 thereafter. It starts at 5.30pm and to book call 0114 225 2150.

Would be a good second session to the great one the girls are doing above, or if Hillsbro' is a bit further out for some. Unfortunately we dont do coffee tho! At least 4 or 5 of the ladies that come have now joined the gym so it's a great stepping stone.

Great to see innitiatives to get women into exercise, not enough of them!

Hey Kate, I'm definitely up for coming along to these get-to-gethers. I've just moved to sheffield as well so I'm hoping to meet some like-minded people and just have a laugh. Also, if it means losing a few pounds, then it can't be a bad thing! Can you let me know of any up and coming plans please? I'm currently at home in Ireland for a couple of weeks but I'll be back in Sheffield early February

I know that this is not under the same banner but in my opinion THE BEST form of all round fitness training for sheer cardio, toning and weight loss all in one would have to be KICKBOXING.

We have a womens only small group class at KNOX Boxing gym in the town centre.

The most common question I have from ladies who are perhaps new to taking part in such an activity is :

" I want to train in a female only class and due to being new to it all can I be in a less busy class.? "

For this the answer is :

We have a women’s only INTRODUCTION to kickboxing group on Thursdays. This class is for women who are new to kickboxing (although some of the girls who are more experienced have been known to book this class sometimes as well).

In this class you will be given a lot more One on One time than in any of the other classes. The cost for the women’s only class is more but still works out less than paying for a private lesson. If after the induction period you wish to continue to the next class up you can do. If you want to stay in the women’s only class then that choice is also available to you.

The number to Pre Book is 07775 914155
