Internetowl
I left in 82 - Topham (PE) was like the thinking man's Howard Wilkinson <g>, he had a young chap with him called Merriman? who used to hunt down the female hockey teacher - who was a real tiger on the sports pitch... McKenzie - the mad art teacher and Colin Tanser the music teacher - who looked like he was catweazels twin brother - I was in CJ Fullers class - he was a creep and was convicted in the late 80's for 'having pictures of young children' - we always knew he was a freak and its a pity no adults noticed ! Iain Kelly
I was in the same class as Sheila Parkin all the time she was at Yew Lane and that was from the age of 11 in 1957 until she was 16 in 1962. During her time in the 5th year 1961/1962 she was the Head Girl. Sheila sat her GCE's at Yew Lane and then moved to Ecclesfield to study for her A Levels. I think my mum was at Yew Lane around this time, Mary Kelly, did you know her?
