In response to the original post; i use to work for HBOS on mortgage helpdesk. To be honest that was rubbish. All it was is people complaining something has gone wrong with their mortgage...a complaints line. With your experience Lynsey with any bank/building society providing you dont mind targest's get a sales job. If you want to be a mortgage advisor you need to pass CeMap (CErtificate in Mortgage Advise and Practice) which isn't as hard as some people make out...though i believe since regulation there maybe an extra exam...not 100% sure.
