wednesday1
If anything Cameron has been less strident about this issue recently. He is only too aware that a vote winner to some people is a vote loser to others as he steps out in Blair's footprints of trying to be all things to all people (and in reality being nothing to anyone). He's like a rabbit caught in the headlights!
wednesday1
Can't believe the **** ups in his PR Cameron is making at the moment - falling down in a interview by saying that he has made no promises other than cutting inheritance tax, the other things he has seemingly 'promised' were simply things he would like to do... And now he wants us to step back in time? Strange way of going about fighting for power, especially as his party haven't been seen as fit to govern for over a decade... Can't see this pledge being a vote winner for smarmy Dave and the Tories either.
llamatron
Foxes are a pest to farmers, and hunting with dogs is the most humane/efficient way of killing them. what a load of **** it is a "sport" to amuse people with too much money

mj.scuba
Hunting with dogs and killing the thing in a few seconds is sooo yesterday. The way we do things today is shoot it with a shotgun, hope to get a good clean shot and if not, it just creeps off and bleeds to death in pain for hours on hours anyway. llamatron
As opposed to badger bating which amuses people with no money. is that an argument:confused: the only difference between them is that a certain portion of society tries to give one of the above credibility. Zaytsev
But both are wrong, surely? Yes of course they are but I would imagine that the middle to upper class opponents of Badger baiting wouldn't include in their argument for abolition, the fiscal standing of its proponents. To do so brings in the issue of class envy and detracts from the real issue.

Unfortunately for their poorer mental counterparts badger baiting will remain illegal
Zaytsev
eh? it isn't bought into the argument because its already illegal-a job well done! EH! Last time I looked they were both illegal and I was referring to the historical perspective. but it would be a valid argument against fox hunting because they are both barbaric and have no place in a humane society, fox hunting may become legal because some rich people with too little to do but much power to do it with like watching a living being get chased and ripped apart. Eh! the fact that the people are rich or otherwise has nothing to do with it. It's not barbaric because they are rich just as Badger Baiting isn't classed as Barbaric because it proponents were/are poor. Oh and by the way as previously stated? Fox hunting with dogs IS ILLEGAL. Unfortunately for their poorer mental counterparts badger baiting will remain illegal Rightly so.
