toodlepip
I've been spraying quite a lot of WD-40 in my house today and when i was spraying it i had my mouth closed, after a while i put a mask on my face so i wouldn't inhale it but after a while i took the mask off and opened 2 windows. I'm just worried whether the fumes can do any harm as obviously 3 hours later it still smells quite a bit in the room and i have asthma. I just wanted to know whether it could do any harm? Don't think so mate, it's made of fish oil so it should be quite harmless.

It is pretty harmless stuff. The solvent might cause a few problems for athsmatics, but that is quite unlikely. I think that the solvent is white sprit. The actual WD 40 oil shouldn't cause any problem at all. The best thing to do when using any sprays or odourous products is to have the windows open whilst you are using them. That way, you don't get a build up of any unpleasant smells or chemicals. Edited October 19, 2009 by sibon
Berlin
I think its only harmful if lobbed at you in a can.
HeadingNorth
I've had it suggested by a nurse as a cure for joint pains! Unless you're swigging it by the pint it is harmless, and even then, it probably wouldn't do any damage.
