zepstox
My great grandma lived on Jessamine Road. They were decent houses. Just before they died they put baths and central heating in.

eightlegger
Hi everyone,i'm new to the forum. My mother was brought up on the estate,so i'm told, her maiden name was BEETENSON,i think they lived on DAFFODIL RD.I workedfor a short time with a MR SCANLON,at TOMMY WARDS,(DRIVERS MATE)he lived on JESSAMINE RD.Also on the same rd at no'18,were the WHEELHOUSE family, the oldest boy was GEORGE (PADDY),was my best friend throughout school and we still keep in touch.(anyone remeber them?) FAY ALEXANDER from daffodil (i think),we worked together at R.C.HOPKINSONS at BELLHOUSE RD. IN 1952,I was just out of school, and was the delivery boy.YOUR mother was a lovely kind lady,i recall her inviting me to lunch a couple of times, through you as you always went home, because the store closed for lunch.I coudn't go home as i lived on the MANOR at that time.If anyone knows any of the above, please tell them i was asking about them. Would love to hear from them.eightlegger.
