Bus drivers above the law now?

I've just heard from a bus driver in the chippy that this Saturday they are skiving (oops sorry Striking) against the disciplining of theiving bus drivers (oops sorry unfair disciplinary practices). Same again the following Saturday. So more disruption again.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of all this something or someone has to give before long not forgetting it must be a serious matter for the guys & gals to be prepared lose all this pay during this dispute.

I do not buy all this rubbish about 'Thieving bus drivers' either to be honest.

OK so why are they striking then? They say its down to disciplinary practices or bad management. People have lost faith in the bus strikes because they dont understand why they are striking. The only information we have is on the first website. We dont seem to hear any alternative point of view to make a educated judgement.

It seems quite clear now we have a militant union in that is demanding the earth. For the poster who said about disciplining over leaving early so they should. We expect buses to run to a schedule.

If drivers have done something wrong they should be disciplined. Instead of drivers moaning and striking they should get back to work.

I don't see the name Bob Crow or letters RMT mentioned here? Militant and Unite? :hihi: :hihi: :D:help:

So you believe everything you read? That is a sign of a well educated individual but then you do dwell in the slander forum where truths have been posted with evidence in place. Yet they are removed by the powers that be. So please keep jumping to conclusions as the narrow minded people you are. You want the truth go and work for the company in question and then with all honesty tell the world what really happens within it. Please remember been ignorant is an excuse for the inability to understand. To understand is to have knowledge. With knowledge you have insight.

Fact:

All employers can sack an individual for simply assuming they did something wrong with no evidence required to back up their accusations. They simply have to follow procedure.

Employment law is totally different to criminal law whereby an employer has to show they followed procedure but do not have to place evidence at a tribunal.

Do you got the picture yet? Ignorance is dangerous especially when there are those who want to debate a situation but do not want or try to find out the real truth. You take on a a global employer with all its money behind them and then stand up for your right to fair treatment. Because you will find yourself in a cold lonely place hoping that some one would be there to help you.

Go on delete this post as well.

Alternative points were previosly posted on this forum in other threads but were removed, however the forum administrators chose to filter out anything other than what makes sensational reading, thus leaving itself and its users open to claims against libelous coments.

However I can see where you are coming from, but over the past couple of weeks its become quite clear that this forum will not allow such information to be posted as they claimed it was speculative, makes you wonder whos pulling the strings on here.

It boils down to how disciplinaries have been handled and the outcomes of such hearings, there is a definate lack of consistancy when it comes to drivers being disciplined for whatever reason.

Similarly making veiled threats against the forum is a sign of bullying to follow your own agenda(As you appear to wish to start making libellous accusations).

Name calling and accusations against named individuals is not acceptable - generalisations and reprinting of available public informations is not conjecture - neither is it 100% fact.

Fact I do not believe everything I read. However I do not seem to hear a good argument as to why the bus drivers are striking. The only information I am getting is from the management side.

So then, since its clear you know why, why are the bus drivers striking? What is it about? Why should we support them? I would love to hear the other point of view. I just cannot seem to find it.

Several very good reasons have been posted on the multitude of threads on this site. Have a search.

Name calling and accusations against named individuals is not acceptable - generalisations and reprinting of available public informations is not conjecture - neither is it 100% fact.

So if information is within print you allow it to be regurgitated hear. Yet when this has been done where proof has been placed this so called forum pulled threads and posts. This is again double standard due to the fact you accept generalisations and reprinting of public information. Yet do you consider the consequences upon the parties who do not have the ability to react to accusations?

There are topics that you consider unacceptable, but these topics are in print. As to veiled threats of bullying due “to following your own agenda” Where are the accusations and precisely which party is libellous? Is not getting both sides of the argument or dispute the issue hear?

The company in question has made a damming generalisation that is specifically aimed at drivers as a whole. This type of propaganda has been used to simply belittle the reason for the company’s workforce for taking their action. By swaying the public away from the real issue. The failure of said company policy and procedure has to be questioned. It is this that the drivers have taken on. Yet these drivers are not allowed to openly comment on the working practices of First Group but are subjected to changes on hourly basis so the management can lay blame for convenience (see threads on this site for drivers supported when First Group deemed it financially viable to support a driver who had been prosecuted for dangerous driving). Therefore if you believe that all drivers hide behind veils then you are mistaken for those drivers who have openly questioned First Group have been sacked. Are you brave enough to do this?

Or is your finger hovering over the delete button?
