With his razor-sharp cheekbones, zig-zag undercut and bag full of sparkling musical moments FrankMusik is burning his image on to 09's retina .

Pop's new leading man arrives in the form of a 23-year-old college dropout from Thornton Heath, South London. He is a musical polymath, playing, producing and writing his records. His talent impressed musical maven Stuart Price so much he took him into his studio where they worked together as equals: something that would have thrilled the teenage star as he grew up glued to late night house shows on Kiss FM and sneaking into clubs at 15.

FrankMusik has run turbo-charged at stardom. His first single ‘Better Off As Two' was released in spring followed by the second ‘Confusion Girl' (as coined by GMTV "single of the summer") leading straight into the release of his debut album ‘Complete Me' at the beginning of August. This reached no.5 in the mid-week before settling at no.13 in the charts, making it the highest charting male debut album of 2009.

The real story behind the album is of red raw heartbreak, written about one girl. Every performance of the songs is an emotional high-wire walk and every press interview a chance to exorcise a bit - giving him the unsmiling, deep thinking, slightly scary, faintly tongue in cheek look of a love child of Rimbaud and Verlaine if they'd been fans of the John Foxx of Ultravox.

Vincent grew up in New Addington, a large estate outside Croydon that was dubbed ‘Little Siberia' for its Soviet looks. Despite his humble circumstances Vincent's drive and brains grabbed his obsessions by the throat. Firstly, BMX riding - he was semi-pro at one point. Then fashion - taking him to St Martins, where he learnt how to put together a mean handbag but quickly became disillusioned and decided his heart was in music. He worked all night at his computer writing and producing, holding down a day job at a Croydon jeans store. Moving out, he went to live with his Nan in Thornton Heath - who gave him the spare room to turn into a studio, a space for him to create his pop star self.

Vincent started 2009 with a lightening schedule that saw him support Keane on their arena tour in front of 150,000 people, support Basement Jaxx at Wireless, only support on the Pet Shop Boys arena dates, remix Lady GaGa, headline Student Pride 09 in Brighton and embark on the world's first interactive tour ‘Live & Lost' (a Channel 4 and MySpace show) as well as many UK festivals including Glastonbury.

The rest of the year continues to be as fast paced as the beginning with FrankMusik performing on the Perez Hilton's inaugural US Tour ‘Perez Hilton Presents' in September and then returning to the UK for a headline tour.

And so, we present FrankMusik: an intensely neurotic, glamorous, electroavid, self edited, self-selected, self-focussed, madly dedicated (and very busy) new pop star arriving with a wham bam thank you mam.
