puddyman
Hi all. My Girlfriend and I are working our way up London road onto Abbeydale road and eating in every resaurant on the way. We started at Baan Thai and so far we've got up to Thai Punna and she's writing a little review of each one on a blog here: http://londonroadclock.blogspot.com Thought you guys might find it useful if you live in the area. Thanks, Steve
Oddgitt
Good effort! Another independant review of Nino's would be appreciated (see the other thread on here)! Also, when you get to Mamma Mia, only have the flank of beef if your teeth are feeling strong. It was amazing but tough eating!!
samstar999
Ooh, I will be interested in this. I love London Road in all its variety - and I also like Nino's!

brianthedog
London Road is great - often go down there for dinner and just see what takes my fancy after a couple of pints. Be curious to see your thoughts on the proper Chinese place by the crossing - brightly lit, loud TV and brisk service but huge portions of food of the sort (and similar price) you'd get in Hong Kong's Mong Kok. Cracking.
puddyman
If you mean Candytown then yeah i totally agree. BARGAIN for the amount of food you get, it just kept coming, relentless!
brianthedog
This is the one I was meaning, although I suspect the picture was taken before it opened as I'm certain it's called something else now.

Claret
This is a great idea. Some of my favourite restaurants are on London Road. Unfortunately I do end up sticking to what I know - Vietnamese Noodle Bar, Zeugma, Baan Thai & Wasabisabi - although I have also enjoyed Dim Sum and Yama Sushi down there. It's good to have a guide regarding the rest. So far I don't feel as though I have missed out on much. I have never been temped by Tin Tin, La Romantica, Thai Punna or Aroma and after your partner's review, I probably won't be in the future. Two questions tho. What's this about the fire in Aroma..... and why does being a coal miner's daughter mean that your partner is constantly cold???!
