Two years after the single’s success he signed to Gilles Peterson’s label Talkin’ Loud and released ‘Sincere’ the album. Two top 15 singles, a Mercury Music Prize nomination and UK sales in excess of 60,000 followed. A summer of festival appearances - including those at Glastonbury and The Big Chill, a recent remix for Dan Black and a stream of forthcoming singles on his own Prolific label over the next 6 months, have seen MJ Cole settled in his role as a UK-garage legend.
