Ginger53
The 53 Theatre Group are preparing to put on their latest play and it 's a Christmas cracker! I may be biased but this is one of the funniest pieces the group have ever tackled and the ever reliable cast of 53 have never been better. We have been lucky enough to attract some new and very talented members to the regular team and they are more than holding their own with some real stars in the making! Anyone planning their Office Christmas party would do wise to come to this one, it has everything you would expect of a festive knees up, too much ale, Queen on the karaoke, a randy couple in the bedroom and M & S mince pies - well it wouldn't be a Christmas party without M & S mince pies! The comedy by Gordon Steel focuses on a family Christmas party, the in laws are invited and the neighbours invite themselves and the results are a nightmare! Expect punch ups, booze ups, laughter and tears as secrets are uncovered, family loyalties are tested and the true meaning of Christmas is finally realised. The characters and the situations will be familiar to all and the dialogue is hilarious with belly laughs guaranteed. This is a genuine crowd pleaser performed with gusto by a very talented cast. Dates: 11th – 14th November 2009 Venue: The Library Theatre, Surrey Street, Sheffield Time: 7.30 p.m. Tickets: 0114 286 2740 Cost: £7.00 (£6.00 concessions)
