max
I think the cost of babysitting has a lot to do with why more parents take their children to restaurants these days. It's cheaper to pay for a child's portion than it is to pay for a babysitter.

I don't see an increase in Parents taking their kids to restaurants, and even if they did, I don't think the correlation would be related to baby sitting prices. I see a huge increase in parents taking their kids to restaurants/pubs. In the last few years there has been an upsurge in "family friendly" eateries where "kids are welcome". In fact, there are very few where this isn't the case. I was only positing that the cost of babysitting may be one of the causes of this. Oh, and back at you. How very rude. anastacia
My daughter charges £3.50 per hour befor 12 and £4.50 per hour after 12-think that is quite reasonable and fair.
Tess
Most babysitters I know get about £15-£20 each time they babysit, again dependant on how drunk the parents are! Oh, and are always taken home safely.
